What are Spider Veins?

Spider veins are small red, purple, and blue vessels that twist and turn.  They are easily visible through the skin, and can be typically seen on the legs and face.

What is Laser Vein removal?

With our state of the art Fotona laser we can treat spider veins, small varicose veins, as well as large varicose veins.  During laser treatment, your Physician directs the laser light at the vein.  This laser light can destroy the vein without damaging your skin.  Small spider veins may disappear immediately after treatment!

How Does It Work?

The energy from the laser is absorbed by the blood in the vein, converted into heat, and then the vein walls are subsequently destroyed.  In comparison with other wavelengths, which mainly affect the surface layers of a lesion, our state of the art laser with Nd:YAG light also targets the underlying vascular feeding system, which is important for ensuring the long-term results of the treatment.  This process is very safe since other healthy veins supply blood to the treated area and the body’s immune system clears away the dead tissue just like it would with a bruise.
